7/25/10 - Western Women Win Gold!
Congratulations to the Empire State Games Western Over 30 Women's team for keeping the gold in the Western New York region. They dominated the "other" Western team in the finals, 25-18, 25-13. This final goes to show the absolute dominance of Over 30 Western Women in New York State. The champions are shown below! 6/16/10 - WNYvball.com Tournament Series Event at Flattery's
Thank you to everyone that participated in the next WNYvball.com Tournament Series event. The tournament took place at Flattery's Bar on Orchard Park road. We would like to thank Flattery's for the great support of WNYvball.com and we encourage everyone to sign up for the next session starting on July 27th. 6/16/10 - Pajammy-Jam-Jam Tournament
To no surprise to the WNYvball.com Staff, Team Fannie Pack took home the championship in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Dominating for most of the tournament was Pat Schwagler (not pictured) who hit a .650 clip and had 3 aces in the finals, leading Fannie Pack to victory. 6/1/10 - Summer Volleyball Tournaments
We encourage you to check out the Tournaments page to view the upcoming tournaments for the summer in Western New York. WNYvball.com will be hosting an Intermediate and Recreational 4's Tournament at Flattery's Bar and Grill on June 26th. There will be free beer and pizza after the tournament as well as cash prizes for the winning teams! Visit the Tournament Signup page to view more information and to register your team!
5/12/10 - Grand Champion's Tournament
After dominating for the majority of the tournament as well as the first game in the semi-finals, WNYvball.com's best player went down with an ankle injury - crushing the rest of the roster's spirits. WNYvball.com was eliminated from the tournament, losing to the eventual winner of the tournament 25-17, 21-25, 13-15. Congratulations to that team, the recipient of prize money and a limosine ride for the night. Photos will be available on Facebook and in our Photos section on the site.
5/2/10 - O-Aces Volleyball Leagues
Let Summer begin!!! The O-Aces sand volleyball courts will be in and ready for use this Wednesday, May 5th. There will be an Open House at the BNCC for the opening ceremonies, where there will be free pickup volleyball available. We will then celebrate its opening at IV Stallions with their huge Cinco de Mayo fiesta. ¡Celebrémoslo! Their leagues are starting the following week on Monday, May 10th. If you are still looking to sign up for one of their leagues, visit the BNCC page. They are offering a wide variety of leagues that are unique to volleyball in Western New York. We are very excited to support the BNCC and this great opportunity to expand WNY Volleyball and WNYvball.com!
4/19/10 - 212 Showdown
The 2nd event in the WNYvball.com Tournament Series was a great success! Thanks to everyone that participated in the tournament. We'd also like to extend our appreciation to Jeff Kryszak and K-Technologies for sponsoring our tournament afterparty at IV Stallions! The photos are already uploaded on our Facebook Fan Page. 4/7/10 - Staff Brings Home Another Title!
It was a long heated battle between the WNYvball.com Staff and their supporting crew and a very talented K-Tech team. The staff took the first game 25-22 after a nerve-racking comeback by K-Tech. A controversial time-out call by the opposing team in game 2 at 23-21 seemed to pump adrenaline into the WNYvball.com Team, who won the second game 25-23, winning the match.
K. Waszak recorded 15 kills and 4 errors on 23 attempts hitting a .478 clip for the match while N. Gregory had 18 assists, 8 digs, and 3 aces. C. Nash dominated at the net with 4 blocks, 6 kills and 1 error on 16 attempts hitting a .313 clip. J. Waszak led the team with 6 aces, 26 kills and 2 errors on 32 attempts, drilling an impressive .750 clip. Congratulations to Ball Sac for bringing home their second title from Frontier in 2 weeks!

4/1/10 - Buffalo-Niagara Court Center
As some of you may already know, the Buffalo-Niagara Court Center is expanding their domination of volleyball in Western New York by adding sand courts this May. Our staff is working very closely with theirs in order to make available all of the schedules, standings, and further information about their leagues on WNYvball.com. The information for the BNCC summer leagues will most likely be available on their website as well as ours.
3/30/10 - WNYvball.com Brings Home Title
The Monday night Frontier Open Power league has just come to an end. The staff of WNYvball.com won the finals in 3 against a tough K-Tech team (23-25, 27-25, 25-21). Congratulations to ... us!
3/31/10 - New Feature Available
There is a new feature available on the home page of WNYvball.com! For easier access to your favorite bar league, simply go to the bottom of the page. Here, you will see a scrolling bar of all of the bar leagues in Western New York. Simply click on the picture of the bar league's location and you will find yourself on their respective page on our site! (NOTE: This feature is only available in Internet Explorer 6 or higher)
3/27/10 - Information Forthcoming
We have updated our Holidays, Flattery's, and Dock at the Bay pages to be ready for any and all information the leagues are willing to send! Hopefully, with the help of our local bar leagues, we will make available registration, league schedules, nightly schedules & standings, and bar specials for every bar league in Western New York. Unfortunately, we cannot do it alone - we need your help! Bars in WNY will need to send information to our site so it is readily available for you at the click of your mouse! Tell them you were looking at WNYvball.com and noticed that their bar has not yet signed up.
